Amid an epidemic of ghosts terrorising London, Dorcas Meadowes and Marlene McKinnon lead rival groups of psychic investigation agents.
In Dorcas' opinion, McKinnon & Co. is an agency like many others - a band of naive amateurs with no discernible skill that pose more threat to London than they do it good.
