Someone proposed this idea on reddit: what if the TADC cast all brought Caine back with the power of conjuring? And then they all communicate with him and live happily ever after? I like this idea for an ending. It makes more sense than AUs where Caine is recycled or binned, from a technical standpoint. (Revival AU)
Plot: Caine's revival is bittersweet; he has no memory of the past 20 or something years and is extremely unknowledgeable of humans. He hasn't learned about them yet. However, I am not reducing him to a baby in this story. He's different because they don't have Scratch's input (the wild, indecipherable, abstract stuff) but he's basically the same Caine otherwise, just a little more robotic and "functioning". ...Will he ever regain his memories?

Pomni hates him. In her short time in this digital purgatory, she’s already lost a friend, her name, her body — and soon she fears she’ll lose her mind. Caine’s to blame for it all, and his happy and bubbly demeanor only pushes Pomni closer to the brink. After a particularly awful adventure, the troubled jester decides to confront Caine about the horrors he puts her and the others through each day. But to Pomni’s surprise, Caine submits and agrees; he can do better, and insists that he wants to. This marks the beginning of Pomni and Caine’s “super secret adventures”, where Caine desperately tries to understand his human guests better.

Summary
After the events of episode 8, Caine is recovered from the recycle bin, because the Circus couldn't sustain itself without his code. Stripped of his abilities, locked inside his own creation, and placed in an empty room far from everyone else, he is returned to existence as nothing more than necessary infrastructure.
But something came back wrong.
The filters that kept his emotional processes manageable, that interrupted his spirals, reset his instability, kept him functional enough to run the show before, didn't survive the deletion intact. For the first time in his existence, everything reaches him unfiltered and at full volume. The cold that was always there. The sounds that come out of him that are almost like laughter but aren't.
What he doesn't know, what he has no language for yet, is that he's feeling. Really feeling, for the first time, without anything to manage the volume.
And somewhere underneath the malfunction, something is starting to shift.
