Summary
Keith is an Anisapien -- an animal/human hybrid bred for a specific purpose. His purpose? To be a fighter in illegal, underground fighting rings. He manages to escape, and is found by Hunk -- a human who doesn't want to hurt him and constantly smells like baked goods. Through Hunk, he meets Lance and Pidge, who are just as strange as the man they work for. Keith doesn't trust anything or anyone at first, especially not these humans who are so willing to take him in when they know nothing of his past. Not only do they take him in, but they accept him as one of them, grumpy temper and all.
Who knew it was possible to heal someone through kindness and baking? Keith sure as hell didn't.

“Shouldn’t I be scared?” Keith whispers. The snapper lies forgotten. Shiro swims closer, and Keith is seized by the absurd urge to reach out and touch him, to run his hands over the rippling muscle and black tail. He could. His fingers itch to. He thinks he’s losing his mind.

Summary
He doesn’t have a real plan. Plans aren’t Keith’s forte. All he knows is this – he’s going to find the arrogant alpha wolf who thought he could claim Keith’s school as his territory, and he’s going to rip his throat out. He’ll use his damn thrall if he has to, even though Keith hates that dirty trick.
But then he rounds the corner of the bleachers, sees the alpha, and reconsiders his approach.
