Kudzu was absolutely NOT looking forward to attending the strange school inside of the mountain, far away from everything he was used to. Even thinking about it made him feel sick to his stomach and all he wanted to do was hide.
But there was no arguing with his mother and so he found himself on his way to Jade Mountain Academy to attend something called an "Orientation", a day dedicated to touring the school and maybe even making friends before classes officially started.

Luca is cute.
There isn’t really any way around that; like, it’s just kind of true. He’s cute. Adorable, even, with those big, brown eyes that sparkle, literally sparkle in the sun— legitimately end up looking like pools of light, god. And he’s always got that wide-eyed look to him, with his puppy-like enthusiasm and oh, the adorable way he giggles— or even better, when he full out cackles when Alberto does something especially stupid and makes an ass of himself. Yeah, that’s the best.
Luca is cute when he does everything. Probably literally everything. And, like, yeah, Alberto knew that, but… lately, he’s been really feeling it.

Summary
Many things have changed in Portorosso since Luca and Giulia left for school. With that comes many new things Alberto has to adjust to. He's been less lonely, he smiles more, and he's making friends. But there's one thing that's missing, and the seaside town feels a little less vibrant to Alberto. He misses Luca, and even though he doesn't actually say it to anyone else, it's obvious.
Luca's been having a blast at school and exploring Genoa with Giulia and her mother. But the whole time, he can't shake the thought that this would all be perfect with Alberto right by his side. He finds many things that remind him of the other boy and on some occasions he even sends them back home to Alberto in the mail. But talking over the phone and sending letters sometimes just isn’t enough.
What if there was a way to get Alberto to come and visit them in Genoa? Like a school dance, perhaps?
i.e. both Luca and Alberto miss each other dearly, and Luca might just have a temporary solution to see Alberto before summer hits.
