Of course, like some cheesy episode in a damn shoujo anime, all the cupcakes fall back perfectly into place. And just to make sure everything is as horrible as it can possibly be, it just has to be him who catches Till.
“You ought to be more careful,” Ivan’s chest presses into his back, his arm draped a little too tight. This is terrible. Mortifying.

“You’re the one who called me here, Till. I’m afraid I won’t be leaving any time soon. I’ll be here to catch you when you fall apart.” He soothes, and it almost sounds like a threat.
His promise is laced with bitter honey and fake comfort, as if Till wants a figment of his last memory of Ivan to follow him around like a manifestation of all the emotions he associates him with. Guilt. Fear. Sorrow.
He wants Ivan here with him. He wants Ivan to leave him alone.

Hyunwoo just blinks once, twice, and shrugs. “Well, he always has his hands on you.” He starts, “You guys are like, ridiculously touchy. And, he’s weirdly overprotective… in a way that people who are just friends usually aren’t. I think. And dude, haven’t you heard about the things that he says he wants to do to you? Surely—”
Till, who’s as red as a tomato, tries to yell in protest. “That… doesn’t really mean anything! That’s just how Ivan is. He’s always been like that.”

Ivan hums, unperturbed. “Does the idea of just wearing a dress really bother you that badly? I meant it when I said you’d look good in them.”
At that, Till feels heat rising up to his cheeks for various reasons, some of them being ones he doesn’t really want to dwell on right now. Sure, maybe it was stupid to be thinking so heavily about this, but did Ivan need to point it out? In the most annoying, humiliating way, at that?

“Slow down,” Ivan interrupts quickly, and then he falls silent. For a few agonisingly long seconds, he wonders if Ivan hung up on him. He lets out a muffled sob at the thought.

“Hm?” He inquires, even though he very clearly heard Till. He always does. Something in him just wants Till to say it again.
