He lets out a huff, shaking his head. “I-I know it’s completely irrational, I just.........I mean, for god’s sake Jon, I’m twenty-nine and I’ve never kissed anyone.”
Jon sucks in a breath as something clicks into place. Some sort of understanding he’d been fumbling for as the room ricochets and suddenly Jon is the one sitting on the tub with puffy eyes and Martin’s standing in the doorway, too far and too close, too much yet too little.
And then Jon’s opening his mouth, letting the words fall out before he can even process what he’s saying.
“Do you want to practice?”Maybe staying with Martin was a mistake. Maybe invading his privacy like this is just another step further into Jon's own complicated feelings he can't seem to put a name to anymore.
Unrelated, but Martin has a date. -

Summary
Lo, another fix-it fanfic for this poor child. Seriously, she deserves all the hugs and comfy sweaters. Also, Mirror Man. As awful as he is, he really is Claire's only hope of escape. This little story is my resolution to the events of Opal and totally NOT a result of a hyper-fixation (ignore the fact that this is probably the most I've written about anything).
Chapters are still in the works, though they're a little slow-going due to school and other stuff. I will see this to the end.

It was a normal day at The Spiral. The morning regulars had come and gone, leaving the little shop to it's quiet peace. The door opened, it's bell alerting them to a customer. A glance at the clock showed it was time to greet Sasha. Within seconds, Tim was leaned on the counter, smiling in a way Tim thought suave.
"Good afternoon, gorgeous, come here often?" Tim asked, complete with brow waggles.
Sasha rolled her eyes, albeit fondly, "Oh, just about every day. There's this really cute baker who works here. You haven't seen him have you? Oh! There you are, Martin!"
"Hi Sasha." Martin chuckled. His eyes slid to the figure trailing behind her. The man had dark, curly hair, a myriad of scars, a deep, thoughtful look and a wiry frame that looked like he hadn't eaten well in ages.
"Oh, right." Sasha took a side step, "This is my colleague, Jonathan Sims."
