Lucifer Morningstar has had his heart broken too many times. His wife disappeared, and his daughter stopped contacting him. The only comfort in his world as of right now was making rubber ducks and making sure Charlie is safe, even if she didn't know he was watching. He hates the Radio Demon, but after finding out about Alastor's injury, he begins to see him in a new light.

Whatever Zeb said in response was lost as pain washed over him again. The ache in his side flared to life with new agony that had pulled the remaining air from Kallus’ lungs. He could just barely hear Zeb’s voice calling out to him through the comm, but the words didn’t make sense anymore.
