“Beau,” Fjord tried to say, but she wasn’t listening to him.Interfering in the captain's love is life is not technically in the job description of a first mate. Nor is it in the job description of a good friend. But then again, Fjord had never accused Beauregard of following orders too closely.

Or: During the week of travel to the peace talks, Fjord tells Beau he has feelings for someone. Beau has some conflicted emotions, but tries very hard to give good life advice anyway.
