Summary
It is an old Mandalorian proverb that a child is born in one's dreams.
For over twenty years, Din has dreamed of fire and smoke, bloodshed, and bloodcurdling screams. They say it’s a bad omen. They say he's fated to be childless. They say he has no dream child.
What he does have, however, is a persistent green creature who sneaks into his ship, eats all his food, and refuses to leave him alone.
(In which, all Mandalorians receive recurring dreams of their intended foundlings and Din just so happens to be the exception to that rule).

Summary
As soon as Aubrey Thyme, psychotherapist, had opened her office door and seen her new client, Anthony J. Crowley, sitting in her waiting area, she was observing and assessing him. At first glance, she paid attention to the following:
--His clothing was expensive and stylish;
--He wore very strange but noticeable cologne;
--His relationship to the seat he occupied could only, very loosely, be described as “sitting;”
--He looked angry;
--He was wearing sunglasses.What Aubrey Thyme, a professional, thought, upon first seeing her new client was: you’re going to be a fun one, aren’t you?

Summary
“Tell me,” said T’Challa, “how did you find me?”
“One of my fishers found you. You were blocking the river. You were lying in the middle of the river on a bed of rubbish. You were belly-up like a dead crocodile with flies on its tongue in the middle of the river. The river flooded and washed away crops and whole villages. Some kind of king you are!”
“M’Baku,” said T’Challa tiredly. “Please do not tell stories.”

Bookmarker's Notes
I don't often call characterizations "perfect," but this? Absolute perfection. The wit, the subtle longing, the descriptions! Not to mention, they absolutely NAILED M'Baku's irreverence while conveying his respect for T'Challa perfectly. I could go on and on.
This is pure gold.
Lines I adore: This is what the Jabari believe: someone does a good turn for you, and you must repay with three times the gratitude they deserve. There are no clear dictates on what exactly one must do. There is no way to tell just exactly what one measurement of gratitude is. Three times, the Jabari are told. Now go and be in debt. Tradition is the debt that keeps you grounded, that ties you to your ancestors, praise be to them, who in turn are indebted to Hanuman. Now go. Go and tie yourselves to your children, go and be indebted to your parents and your elders, go and repay your debts. You will learn how, but go, now.

Summary
Over the past few years, he’s started sleeping as little as he possibly can without dying — his under-eyes are permanently bruised and he spends daytimes hallucinating. It’s better than dwelling on what has come before: screams, limp bodies, spraying blood, blue eyes.

'And why, Yusuf,' said Nicolò, 'why do you run from me?'

Bookmarker's Notes
Goodness, these lines are stunning:
"'I think of you not as a burden,' said Yusuf. 'But it is torment itself to love you and to hold you, when I cannot forgive you.'
'Do not forgive me,' Nicolò entreated him, 'for what I once did to your people is not a thing that can be forgiven.'
Indeed not. Yusuf inclined his head, though this pained him somewhat. But his heart eased within him. 'Then I will no longer try,' he decided. 'But come - how would you treat for me? If I were tempted to carry you but further?'
Nicolò was silent for some long moments. 'I would take up arms at your pleasure,' he said thoughtfully. 'I would stay only where you felt welcome. I would share my food and my coin when you had given yours away. I would build a fire for you when you were cold, and watch over you while you slept. And I would not go where you or your God could not follow.'
At this last, Yusuf laughed. Nicolò smiled just to see him pleased.
'My God is not one to follow along the borders that mortals draw,' said Yusuf, amused. 'But you have my understanding, and now you have my heart. Come, my love: let us out the flame and sleep a while. The road ahead is long indeed.'"
