Will follow the Conclave arc with changes rippling outward from this change in role impacting characters, relationships, the gods - but not fate, no. The tapestry is too finely woven for that.

Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber has been torn in half, possibly beyond repair. After the Battle of Crait, Leia Organa sends Rey and Finn to the one Jedi who Leia believes has a chance of fixing the lightsaber. Rey and Finn don’t learn until they arrive that this Jedi is Leia’s daughter, Jaina Solo.
Jaina is pretty sure she’s up to the repair job. She’s far less certain about what Rey and Finn have to tell her, especially the revelations about Jaina’s own family. Darkness from Jaina’s past, present, and future collides to break her image of her place in the galaxy, an image that may not be the same once it’s put back together.

It takes weeks for him to realise that Vex visits more often than anyone else. But that’s easily rationalised in one simple step: she doesn’t like the cold. There is a reason beyond camouflage in dappled forest light that she wears near as many layers as he does, and it certainly isn’t considerations of appropriate wardrobe on her part. She can’t sew for toffee, but she darns her socks religiously, almost obsessively, and not even Vax teases her for it. He could not understand the need to darn them so at first, and still wonders at it now. They’ve never hurt for coin, not really, and even if they had they would have scrounged together enough for new socks. Vex’ahlia certainly goes out of her way to ensure that they’re all well equipped, their basic needs met for the road, so he can’t see why she doesn’t buy new socks for herself. Perhaps it’s simply that no one else notices how much she does for them, too busy laughing about how fiercely she haggles with every poor merchant and vendor who is unlucky enough to stumble into her path.
Perhaps it’s just that Percy is far more aware of Vex’ahlia than is prudent or polite to admit.

How lucky am I. How lucky are we.
(Many years later, as she watches them age, as she watches her children grow old and grey, she will wonder if maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t so lucky after all. She knew, when she was younger, that she would live to see her children grow old; she hadn’t realized that she would live to see them die, too.)
