“I didn’t know what to do.”The man’s voice was soft, softer than he’d ever heard it. His lip quivered ever so slightly.
It was 5 AM, and the Florida mornings got deceptively colder than people may think. Brad’s chest felt tight as he took in the younger man’s defeated appearance. The slight morning wind ruffled Brad’s tattered juniors shirt. He was sure Tyler had seen him in it before. Always the outfit repeater.
“I took the first flight here.”

'Cause you don't go to parties anymore-
Parties were always Tyler's chosen form of escapism. When he met Brad, he had someone to share that with. It was perfection, for as long as it lasted. Five years can make a big difference in a life- Brad was engaged to be married and Tyler was stuck in that same old rut, chasing that old high that never seemed to fail him. Until now, that is.
