"Kaijou's not like Teikou was," Kise said.
"You're right," Kuroko said, taking care to form the words deliberately. "It isn't."
"But we won a lot at Teikou," Kise said after a moment's pause. "Wasn't it fun to win every match? You said you liked winning, that even though the way you play isn't a lot of fun for you, you play that way because losing is less fun."
Kuroko put the rest of his gear in his bag before he turned to face Kise. "At some point, winning became even less fun."

This is the five-hundred and thirty-eighth time.
On the second, he manages to win against Kaijo with no injuries and win against Aomine-kun the first time. But then, he injures himself instead of Aomine-kun. He stills wins Winter Cup.
He hasn't and does not lose the Winter Cup until the fifty-seventh run. Because he pushes Akashi-kun into defeat too early. Akashi-kun is blind before he can run to him.
He stops trying to win earlier than the first by the seventy-seventh time.
He voluntarily walks into traffic in front of them, just before the Winter Cup just before that one. He wishes he can say they believed him when he tells them this is the two hundredth and thirty-fourth time he has lived this life.
