" 'Long day?' Todd asked softly, marking his place and putting down his book. Neil mumbled an answer and plopped down on the bed next to Todd.
Underneath Neil’s eyes were dark and his hair was a mess, his mouth forming a slight pout. Todd wanted to wrap him up in the world’s tightest hug.
'Is it ok if I just… Lay here? While you read? Like, on your shoulder?' Neil asked, practically a whisper, not making eye contact with Todd. Todd laughed and slightly ruffled his hair.
'Of course, Neil. Want me to read to you?' Neil finally looked up and stared at Todd’s pale blue eyes."

'It means it's absolutely freezing outside, and you just woke me up at an absurd time?' Todd laughed. Neil threw the jacket in his hands at Todd, who was still under his covers."
