Summary
Finally, she exhausts her brain, standing with her mouth agape and breathing heavily, she squeezes her eyes shut and digs the heel of her palm into them.
All the fight in her body vanishes, and she lets the back of her thighs hit the table. Her breathing starts to stutter and her lower lip trembles just a bit.
He takes a few steps in her direction and speaks softly, "Come here."
That's all it takes, and she surges toward him, closing the gap between them.

Summary
The moment of reason is gone and the next thing that slips out of her mouth is something that she doesn't think she ever meant to say out loud.
Her eyes blink closed "I like when I'm around you. It makes everything in my brain, and the world, go quiet for a bit." She smiles at the thought.
She opens her eyes to see the slightly shocked expression on his face. Finally he heaves a short laugh out of his chest and simply replies "You won't remember any of this tomorrow. Goodnight Morgan." He ends with a slight nod of his head and turns on his heel to open the front door.

She's currently busy focusing on drawing little shapes that connect his scars when he speaks for the first time in a while, surprising her. "Jude?" he asks her, his tone a little more serious than it normally is but still soft-spoken. "Hmm?" She asks, going back to her task at hand. "Why haven't you ever asked about them?" There is no accusation in his voice, only pure curiosity. Nonetheless, she stops her movements promptly. Apparently, her lack of an answer pushes him to further explain. "The scars," He starts "Surely you're curious, I'm not a fighter, less often do I ever pick up a blade, are you not the least bit curious to how I got them?" He turns to look at her now, but her mind is far away.

Cardan learns why Jude has never asked about his scars, and Jude learns the full story as to how he got them.

The first time it happens, Will classifies it as a little accident.
When he wakes, the morning sun is burning through the window onto their faces, and Mike’s cursing as he stands to close the curtains, stumbling all the way.
“Scoot over,” he grumbles, voice dry, and for a second Will can’t do anything other than sigh like a lovesick idiot. It’s a second too late for Mike, because he grumbles more words Will doesn’t catch under his breath and then physically pushes Will towards the wall to lay beside him, arm over Will’s middle. A second of silence passes, then Mike sighs, only to whine: “Fuck, my head hurts.”
Will can’t help it: he breaks down laughing, much to Mike’s offense.
