Richie was chaos. The storm. Wherever he goes, noise follows with him. To Richie noise brought him calm and silence was scary. Not that he would ever admit it. Hiding behind crude jokes, was something he was used to doing, it was his way of comfort.
Will on the other, was always calm. Serene. Lost in his thoughts. He didn’t like to be noticed. Burdened by Vecna, the Upside down and his feelings for best friend, Mike. All he wants is to live a peaceful life.
Richie was used to making himself everyone’s problem whereas Will desperately tried not to be. Always hiding, shielding himself with quietness.

Chaos meets Silence in the form of Richie and Will. As they heal each other while fighting interdimensional monsters.

Summary
When Richie's mother sends him away to spend summer with his extended family, the Wheelers, for the summer of 1985, he expects nothing but boredom for the two months he'll be there.
What he doesn't expect is to find out about a monster from an alternate dimension that's been possessing the citizens of Hawkins.
He also doesn't expect to fall in love with his cousin's best friend.
