Summary
When Stiles can’t focus on what’s happening in class, he can somehow focus on Lydia. He absorbs details about her, notices things he doesn’t think anyone else does. He sees the way she reads ahead of the teacher and never raises her hand to participate. He catches the way she always has the right answers written down but always lies to Jackson when he turns around and asks her what she got. He notices the way she looks so sad when she smiles sometimes.
She becomes a mystery to him, the little pieces of her all so unique and never adding up. Lydia's a riddle he quickly becomes obsessed with solving.

Summary
From somewhere far off, a new voice abruptly cuts through the constant noise in her head to reach out to her. A voice that she can’t quite fathom and nothing like the screams that have been clawing at her mind all day.
The voice promises her that all of this will be over soon.
“They’re almost here,” Lydia whispers, “and I don’t need to scream to know they’re going to kill you.”
The Nogitsune laughs in her face, the dark sound echoing against the walls of the small space and bearing down on her. “You won’t be able to scream."
---
The Nogitsune took Lydia for a very different reason.

Summary
“Do you understand the point of a club at all, Stiles?”
“I told you- I'm here because you’re here.”
She raises a brow at him because that answer seems all wrong.
“Fine, Danny text me. Said you were here alone.”
Lydia huffs, “Of course.”
Because Stiles always has to be worried about something awful happening to her. It can never be simple. They can never be normal teenagers. There always has to be something ruining everything.

Summary
Stiles sees her for the first time on a Thursday morning, ordering her annoyingly complicated coffee in her distractingly short dress. She's all he can focus on from the moment he first lays eyes on her.
Really, though, he just can't remember all the thousands of times he's seen Lydia Martin before.

Summary
“We’re almost there, Lydia. Just hold on, okay?”
But the voices are too much for her to fight. She can’t hold out any longer, not against the pain of thousands of deaths pressing down on her and stabbing their way into her mind through the hole still bleeding on the side of her head.
Lydia screams. She can't help it.
Curled against Stiles’s side with his arms tight around her, she lets out a noise more powerful than ever before. Her vision goes black under the force of it, her whole body shaking as it pulses through her and shatters all the windows of the Jeep.

Summary
“Hi, Stiles. It’s Lydia. I just wanted to call and tell you how happy I am that you and Malia are moving in together. I actually have a cousin that is realtor in San Francisco. I can give you his number and he can help you guys find a really nice place.”
“Oh my god…”
“So, you see, since I am so graciously offering to help you find an apartment, I am obviously over you. So I am not going to do this stupid unrequited love thing anymore because I, Lydia Martin, am over you, Stiles Stilinski. And that, my friend, is what they call closure.”
