Summary
Pyrite had an endless supply of loops they could spend marinating in their failures. But they didn't want to.
That would mean letting the fish intimidate them, which would mean letting it win. And while nobody else (least of all the stupid beast itself) would know it had won, Pyrite would.
... and maybe Gabbro, who would likely find Pyrite temporarily forgetting the existence of giant freaking node-dwelling fish more funny than pathetic.---
Pyrite's luck ran out on their second trip to Dark Bramble, but they weren't letting it get to them. They simply had to do more research. And there was one individual they could question on their experience with an anglerfish in (the vicinity of) its natural habitat.

Pyrite can upload mental notes directly to their ship log through the statue chip. The notes, however, must be manually sorted, which can be a bit of an ordeal at times.
