Summary

Summary
Oikawa can’t breathe. This was supposed to be the perfect night, and instead, the worst possible scenario is playing out in front of him.
The art is nowhere to be found.
The large, standing easel that’s supposed to mimic a person creating art in real time, is barren. It’s just the coarse, potato-sack material against the wall. Oikawa is a fallen solider, helplessly standing in a trench as the world burns around him.
A shrill voice pierces Oikawa’s ears and causes the crowd to turn in its direction.
“The art—it’s been stolen!”
(or, art curator oikawa tooru teams up with detective iwaizumi hajime to recover millions of dollars in stolen art, and he falls head over heels in the process.)

“Your thoughts are so loud,” Hajime mumbled beside him, his voice lazy with exhaustion that Oikawa couldn’t relate to.
“Sorry, must be the fact that I’m sleeping shirtless next to a stranger in a strange house in the middle of nowhere,” Oikawa bit back instinctually.
Hajime just snorted at him, as if he was making a joke. “‘S’not that bad. Who knows? Maybe a bit of the country life could do you some good.”
“Yeah? According to who?”
“Well you did run away from home,” Hajime pointed out, and, well, yeah, Oikawa couldn’t really argue with that point. “B’sides, doesn’t seem like life has treated you too kindly so far. Change of scenery might not be the worst thing in the world.”
