Robin motioned for the music to be cut and then paid attention to Hotaru. “Come here,” she instructed the dancer. She extended her hand, Hotaru staring at it in return. “Take it,” Robin giggled.
Hotaru did as she was told, Robin’s soft hand cradling her own. She lifted her gaze to find Robin’s emerald ones locked onto her and then the idol’s grip tightened and she tugged Hotaru closer to her. Without missing a beat, the woman placed Hotaru’s hand on her hip, holding it in place.

The first time Rei wakes up because of Minako’s nightmares is during a full moon. Minako’s sobs are silent, but the moonlight reveals her tears, messy tracks trailing down her cheeks. Rei silently slides out from her blankets, slips under Minako’s covers and holds her, whispering her name every now and then, if only to let the other girl know she’s not alone.
They share a futon from then on. ‘For warmth,’ Rei says to herself (but as Minako’s nose brushes against her neck, a part of her wonders just who exactly she’s trying to convince).
