Baffling.
But Percy accepted, so okay, Poseidon will watch this dynamic play out. He may not like it but at the very least she'll keep helping his son if they're 'friends'. 'Friends' had each other's backs. 'Friends' kept each other alive. And on the perchance that 'friends' would be all they progressed.
Oh how the fates loved to prove him wrong.
