Summary
Tyler Owens is twenty-six when his bull riding days come to a sudden, bitter end, leaving him with a concussion, a crushed leg, and a line of stitches along his thigh to prove it.
Meanwhile, on the same night, Kate Carter is mourning the loss of her friends to a storm they had underestimated, left to deal with the carnage and a gash in her thigh. The stitches and medication she's been given do nothing to ease her pain.
Five years later, during an unusual tornado season in Oklahoma, they cross paths.
