    Her whole life is a bit of a compromise. Keyleth has always felt pulled in too many directions. Half girl, half animal, half god. Less than the difference of her parts.

    In the other place, this dark plane between life and death, she’s pulled hard into all of them at the same time, so hard, she feels the tether snap a bit, the little knot in the center that was the most of her pulled too taut, so small it disappears.

    Keyleth sticks her hand in the siphon and gets pulled to the Shadowfell during the fight with the Briarwoods. She comes back different.

    "Thank you," Percy said, accepting the tea gratefully. He wasn't a big tea person overall, but his stepmother had a very good knack for it. Godly power, or whatever. "And thank you for not hating me anymore. I know you aren't thrilled about my existence-"

    "No need to thank me for not being Hera," Amphitrite dismissed. Percy took a sip of tea. "That is what you meant, isn't it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. For once, Percy learned from his mistakes and stayed quiet, though he did give her a bashful smile to confirm the sentiment. "Hm. Well, either way, I owe you thanks. Not many children would agree to spy on their father for me."

    Percy put the cup down. "I'm not spying on him," he reasoned. Amphitrite scoffed. "I just happen to be in many of the places he is when he's in the mortal world." A long pause followed, and Percy rolled his eyes. "Yes, he was seeing a mortal woman. Her name is Lea."

    "You owe me twenty of your mortal dollars, child."

    Percy bitterly slapped the paper bill on the table between them.

    Amphitrite has an odd quest for Percy. Strangely enough, it might be the only quest Percy has actually enjoyed.

    On Percy's sixteenth birthday, stood before the Olympians; he never followed the line of Athena's gaze, never saw Annabeth's stricken face after he was offered godhood, and so his impulsivity got the best of him. At that moment, overcome with guilt and fear, he thought only of all the lives he might save if he were more powerful.

    Thalia fell into step beside her. “This isn’t supposed to be your job anymore.”

    “Yeah, I thought that was the deal too,” Annabeth agreed.

    “I don’t like the sound of it, this prophecy. Seven? When has seven ever been a good number for a quest? And only demigods. Giants can only be defeated by gods and heroes together. How do they expect seven demigods to defeat them? The gods are fracturing and we all know its only going to get worse.” Then a thought seemed to occur to Thalia, and her jaw went slack.

    Annabeth could see Thalia had caught up. They both knew they were thinking of the same person, Annabeth could see it in her sister’s eyes; the image of a god that was purely Greek, undivided, with every reason to be involved in the progress of a demigod’s prophecy. They both knew he was sure to involve himself one way or another, he wouldn’t be able to help himself.

    This work contains the entirety of the my fair lady story in chronological order. This includes every chapter and drabble of both my fair lady and go on, claim my heart, every turned my water into wine drabble, and every additional one-shot. For clarity of plot, I recommend reading the individual fics in this series before reading this. Nothing has been changed from the original posting except minor typo fixes. This fic is marked as completed, but any future drabbles or one-shots will be added to this chronology as well. This fic is rated T but does contain a few individual explicit chapters; those chapters will include a note at the beginning. Please read with at your own discretion.
