"Hey!" James puffs, dragging his trunk down the corridor. "Hey, hey – you!"
Sirius turns around, startled. It's the boy he saw in the crowd, the one with the odd dark skin and messy hair.
"Are you talking to me?" he asks. He packs his voice full of lazy arrogance. He is a prince, he reminds himself.
The boy stops, tilting his head. He says, "Do I know you?"

Seven years is a very long time (or a very short one, depending on who you ask). The only thing James Potter and Sirius Black know for sure is from day one, something between them was meant to be.

Summary
