She knew that, politically speaking, being a sour bag of shit to any of the other Houses was not a great life choice right now. However, in her irritated mood, the Sixth were an easy target; they may not be the root of all her current woes, but they had certainly witnessed most of them. This was obviously unacceptable, and the only reason she suffered them to live in knowledge of her failure was the threat of an inter-House incident.

As if this were her fault, her failing. Harrow had been given another chance to serve her House, and serve it well, and it was already being fucked up by forces beyond her control. But of course, the ceaseless disdain of the Reverend Mother and Father had followed her here - in the form of their beloved shithead adoptee.
That same shithead wheezed a chuckle from the blanket bunker of the four-poster. “So that’s what this is about. You think I made you look bad.”
~OR~ Nova AU where the Rev Daughter Gideon overdid it trying to impress her new friends down in the labs; Nova is pissed Gideon nearly died and she wasn't there to see it, has a meltdown over their less than ideal necro-cav dynamic. Her choice of method for attempting to fix this is as intense as you would expect from Harrow.

There was no response and Gideon had to pry her eyes open - she wasn't sure when she had squeezed them shut so hard - to make sure that Harrow was still there. And she was. And her smile was cruel.
"Oh Griddle," Harrow droned (Gideon despised how it sounded like Ianthe). "What could you possibly offer me? What could I ever need or want, from you?"
There was no shaking now. No use trying to shield herself from the words as they speared into her from every angle and lit her ablaze. The pain was staggering, pushing her away from Harrow and to the door. She didn't expect Harrow to follow. And she didn't.
