Big brown eyes of the proverbial lamb, fled into the desert, lost. Daniel scrolled down the page without fixing his eyes on any specific image. He’d fed not two hours ago, and the blood turned on his stomach, close to coming back up.
One hundred forty-seven paintings had been found—seventy-four of the same man. In all of them, Armand’s face looked back at him; vacant, lifeless, ruined.
