Summary
His Curious George socks slide over the floorboards with how abruptly Buck comes to a stop, almost sending him catapulting backwards. The glasses in his hands wobble. Water splatters over the rims.
In front of him, Eddie is no longer sitting on the couch. He’s on all fours by the edge of the coffee table, knees digging into hard wood, arms holding himself up. Really, the accurate term is probably all threes, considering that one of his hands has just lifted, reaching up to cup Chimney’s face.
Chimney’s face. Because they’re kissing.
Eddie and Chimney are kissing.
Their mouths are pressed together, and they’re moving, pushing and touching, and fucking kissing.

Summary
There’s a panicked note to his voice, a slight thread of tension. Eddie feels the weight of himself triple, bones compacting in on each other.
“She’s fine,” he says quietly. “I mean, uh. Someone hit her. With a car.”
Buck’s eyes snap to him. “What? That doesn’t sound fine.”
“It was a slow car.”
“A slow car,” Buck repeats.
Eddie’s making a mess of this. He always makes a mess.

Summary
“I’m still mad at you,” Buck says, when they’re finally forced together in the line. He’s standing so close to Eddie, breath a warm whisper in Eddie’s ear. Eddie shivers. “I’m—I’m so fucking mad, but. I—I can’t let you go back there alone. Either of you. I—I can’t lose you both to Texas again. I won’t.”
Oh. Oh.
Eddie’s eyes burn. He leans back, his shoulders brushing Buck’s chest—needing Buck’s touch something fierce. “You’re not,” Eddie promises, voice cracking. Christopher’s lost in his phone, but Eddie still keeps his voice soft—a secret, all for them. “Buck. You’re not. I was always going to come back home.”
To you, goes unsaid but Eddie feels it all the same. Buck feels it too, inhaling sharply.
“Okay,” Buck whispers. “Okay.”
or, eddie realises he hasn't been alone, not for the longest time.

Summary
For months, Buck has been professionally harassed over dispatch by one infuriatingly calm operator with a smug voice, a superiority complex, and a deeply concerning habit of calling him sweetheart over an active emergency line.
Buck hates him.
Obviously.
Then he meets Eddie Diaz in person and unfortunately discovers that the smug voice comes with stupidly nice hands, unfair eye contact, and a thirteen-year-old son who immediately decides Buck is his problem now.
Worse, Eddie gets weirdly possessive every time someone else looks at Buck too long.
Worse than that, Buck likes it.
And when a bad call turns into a building collapse and Eddie has to listen to Buck trapped beneath it over an open dispatch line, suddenly none of it feels like a joke anymore.
Or: Buck and Eddie fall in love while arguing over city emergency communications, and literally everyone is tired of them.

Summary
Buck needs to know what’s in that box.
“Oh no. I know that face,” Eddie sighs. “You’re about to become weird about this, aren’t you?”
“Aren’t you curious about what’s in the box Eddie??”
“Not curious enough to get stabbed.”
Buck ponders the downsides of getting stabbed versus getting answers.
“Buck.”
“No, I know! I know!” he concedes. “I, Even Buck Buckley, promise not to get myself stabbed in the noble pursuit of knowledge.”

Summary
"Don't want you to sleep with Tommy again," Eddie slurs when he gets close enough.
Buck startles, unsure where that came from, and gives him an offended look before shaking his head, laughing. He ignores the voice in his head saying now that the competition's out of the way. "You backslide one time and your friends never let you forget it. I do have some dignity, you know."
"No, no, 's not that," Eddie protests. "Don't want you sleeping with any of your exes. Anyone. Well, one person would be fine."
"One person, huh?" Buck asks, amused. "And who would that be?"
Eddie shrugs. "I'm right here. I'm very" — he hiccups— "v'ry flexible, y'know. I stretch every morning."

Summary
“Your Royal Highness,” Eddie said in return with a short bob of his head.
He was the President’s Secret Service, he didn’t have to bow.
“Please,” the prince said with a charming smile that probably got him into more trouble than it was worth. “Everyone calls me Buck.”
When President Nash’s godson comes to stay for a few weeks, Bobby asks for Eddie Diaz personally to head up his protection detail. What’s a few weeks with a spoiled prince? But Eddie quickly realizes that this isn’t just a flying visit and he’s determined to protect Buck from whatever has chased him back into his family’s arms.
