The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black were proud to say they were perfect in the eyes of their world. They all married people with blood as pure as their own, had beautiful and obedient children and they all incessantly fought for their view of perfection and need for purity to be implemented on the rest of the Wizarding World. If they were faced with someone not fitting their ideals, they were the scum of the earth and they would be hated by all those who proudly sport the last name of Black.
And so for hundreds of years, none dared stray from the path of their forefathers. It was not a thought that would cross the mind of even the most rebellious of the Blacks because when they stepped a toe out of line, they always faced severe consequences.
Like her family, Lyra Black was doomed for hatred, but James Potter was determined to show her the power of love instead.
