Summary
The first time James gave Sirius a ring, they were twelve years old. That was where the tradition started. Sometimes, it was just because it was a Tuesday afternoon and it caught his eye. Sometimes, it was part apology and part distraction for the way Sirius’s family treated him. Sometimes, the ring marked an important occasion in their lives.
