Kaoru believed Kojiro would have asked someone out or simply had to wait till a pretty bold girl gathered the courage to ask him first. Kojiro believed that it just wouldn’t happen and it was all just jokes for the other person; how could he compare to a blue-haired student whose defiance had always caught those amber eyes? Kaoru simply had all his attention on Adam.

Kojiro sighed yet again, smiling around his beer at the girl hanging on his arm, looking up at him hopefully. This was usually his thing. Parties, people, a bit of drinking, women. When he’d first started staying with Kaoru, nannying him during his recuperation, he couldn’t wait to get back to this lifestyle.
Maybe he was just out of practice.
Yeah, that had to be it.
The beer wasn’t going down fast enough, not tasting good tonight at all—though he had to admit that wasn’t the beer’s fault. Just like it wasn’t this girl’s fault—or the girl on his other side, very un-subtly pressing her boobs against his arm. No, the beer was perfectly…beery, the women perfectly attractive, the music perfectly too-loud, the atmosphere perfectly upbeat and sexy and cheery.
It was him.
His phone vibrated in his back pocket, startling him out of his thoughts and he frowned at the screen. The name was familiar—too familiar. But she’d certainly never called him before. He didn’t actually know she could.
Suddenly too many eyes were on him and he smiled sheepishly as he answered the call.
“Hey, Carla. What’s up, baby?”

How he wants the last thing he hears before he falls asleep to be Kojiro’s soothing voice, wants the first thing he sees when he wakes up to be Kojiro’s smile in the morning light.
“Move in with me,” Kaoru says plainly.He realised what he said earlier was true. It was as easy and natural as breathing, to be with Kojiro this way.
