Summary
In the years following his defection, Suguru Geto has been masquerading as a Buddhist priest as a rouse to collect money and curses. He does not need to sugar-coat his philosophy - he has a family dedicated to his cause and plenty of mindless followers he exploits and murders without consideration. He is still suffering but continues to work towards his ultimate goal - to eradicate all non-socercors. He doesn't dwell on the past.
Until Satoru Gojo appears in the halls of his temple.
Suguru cannot reconcile his buried feelings, his ideals, and his current and past personas.
Possibly a fix-it.

In the future, Satoru hopes for the bravery within his soul to emerge and confess his innermost feelings to Suguru. Nothing will change, of course; but Suguru deserves to know how Satoru drowns within the bottomless depths of love for him.

Summary
"I'm sorry." Suguru says, for all the wrong reasons "I know it's been awhile-" Eight hundred twenty nine days "I hope you still like the mochi off of Takeshita."
He does still like them, but suddenly, the thought of tasting the sweets makes him feel like he might throw up- throw up blood or throw up a curse- either way, something foul and rotten that would coat his pristine tile red and coax Suguru to hold his head as he retches.
He only looks up from the bag, though, one eyebrow raised, probably obscured by the bandages.
"I'm on strict orders to kill you on sight." He says, and Suguru smiles.

They're not seventeen years old, and Satoru isn't scared to lose him. He's lost him. He feels like he looses him all over again every morning he wakes up cold: there's nothing to be afraid of, now that they're kissing in this imaginary apartment in their imaginary future– all lines have been crossed. Whatever happens, Suguru is walking out of here with mussed hair and with pieces of Satoru's pulsing blood muscle still stuck in his teeth. So he might as well reach behind himself and tug at his shirt collar, bare his chest and hope Suguru bites into it.

Summary
The first time Suguru kneels, it is for a God everyone already reveres.
He would never call himself religious before. Not in any real way. He’d never seen a point in a blind, senseless worship, in devoting himself to a God he couldn’t see, or hear, or touch. In a God that, despite all that effort, belonged to everyone. One that, given the chance, wouldn't respond to desperate calls regardless.
A God like that, on the off chance that it existed, wouldn’t be worth the devotion. There was no purpose in it. Meaningless, Suguru thought.
But the first time he kneels, he understands.

The first time Satoru kneels, it is at the altar of a man.
Satoru has never kneeled. He has never needed, nor wanted to, before.
For Satoru was a God, and why would a God ever need to kneel? Certainly not for another supposed God. Let alone for a man.
