Summary
It took MJ about four weeks to realise Peter Parker was Spider-Man; a part of him feels a bit dumb for not knowing sooner. He’d heard a few whispers here and there in high school about how scrawny and meek Peter Parker picked up Flash like it was nothing, or could throw a football across a field all of a sudden. And sure, he had sneaked a peek at Peter’s notebook when his eyes lingered, noticing the intricate designs for something he couldn’t make out at the time.
But MJ had looked past it all, assuming that the guy was finding outlets for his Uncle’s passing. Since they barely knew each other, MJ didn’t feel he had a right to ask the very same questions dancing around the halls. Still, he should’ve been more curious about it; hell, he prides himself on his curiosity. And admittedly, MJ probably would’ve noticed sooner if he weren’t too busy making googly eyes all those years ago.
Though a four-week record wasn’t too bad to realise something as insane as Peter Parker of all people being Spiderman. What was bad, in his standards, was not noticing that he liked him.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________When Evan reached the shore he closed his eyes and tilted his head back. Ice-cold drops fell on his eyelids, wetted his lips and flowed down his neck.
‘You're not going to drown yourself, are you? Not in the mood to jump in after you.‘
He opened his eyes. Blinked a few raindrops from his eyelashes and turned around.
A tall boy stood leaning against a tree. He was dressed in an oversized shabby coat that was soaked through. Light brown hair, dyed darker by the rain, was brushed from his face. A single strand fell over his left brow, through which a scar ran. He had a cigarette in his mouth, fished it from his lips with two fingers and coughed.

“Even if I have something to talk about, what makes you think it’ll be with you? We aren’t even friends, Wolf.”
“Yeah?” he replied, bending over by his waist such that his face hovered over Barty’s. He revelled in the way Barty’s pupils dilated at the sudden approach. “We’re more than friends, aren’t we? I’m your wolf, you’re my dog…” He trailed off, smiling down at the other who was still staring at him with a wide-eyed gaze.
The surprise was soon masked over into a smirk - Barty’s signature smirk- and he pushed himself up with a propped elbow. Remus leaned back with bated breath, aware that their sudden proximity had sent his heart hammering against his chest, and he watched the other’s lids flutter as he gazed back at him.
