Summary
This shoebox kitchen is only big enough for two people to stand in comfortably—that is, not without knocking elbows—but somehow, all three of them are crushed together inside of it. Power, assaulting the radio; Denji, trying and failing to get her attention because he isn’t sure if this is a girl’s shirt, are the buttons supposed to be on this side, does he look gay; and, naturally, the added variable of Nyaako, who has been sufficiently scared away from the wooden bowl and is now stalking Kon from the countertop as he stirs in his spot on the couch. Aki has to weasel his way underneath Denji’s arm (who has now gotten Power’s attention and is having his entire shirt unbuttoned and rebuttoned at an alarming speed) to find the egg carton in the fridge.
Aki finds, in spite of everything, that good things still happen.

Summary
If you’d asked Ren to make a list of things Akechi might do after surviving certain death, twice, he would not have put ‘continue his dumb celebrity career’ on it anywhere. Like, not even as a back-up option. Not even close.
Akechi shrugs. “My agent called. There was still interest. I need money to live. Do you expect me to get a job at 777?”
Akechi’s face is on the 777. His smile glimmers out at the world, his eyes sparkling with secrets, as if nothing could be more coyly, erotically compelling than a cheap can of iced tea. The photographer seems to have been very, very interested in the way Akechi’s long fingers in black leather gloves set off the sweet curve of his lower lip. Every time Ren works a shift he has to look at this poster for hours. And the advertising campaign is working, so he also has to look at the mini-version on the special limited edition cans of iced tea that everyone is suddenly buying.
