The ages are truly dark: there are no books around, and if there were any, hardly any would be describing the nature of birds. Fortunately, a keen mind can easily notice details and draw conclusions. Especially when there is ample time for it — all sixteen years of it looming ahead. And so, Maleficent gains a lot of insights — absolutely unsolicited, small, somewhat funny, somewhat serious insights — about birds. More precisely, about ravens. About one of them in particular.
