Katsuki’s voice was low but steady, his breath warm against Izuku’s ear as they lay tangled together under the covers. "I promised you eight years ago in that hospital room that I'd be on your heels for the rest of our lives, and that wasn’t just some love confession. I wanna spend the rest of my life battling it out for number one hero spot- I only ever want to compete with you, it's just not the damn same without you by my side."
He kissed Izuku's nose before ghosting his lips against his ear. "And don’t think I’ll go easy on you just because I'm in love with you. I’ll still kick your ass, nerd."

Izuku startled, yanking his headphones off and snapping the magazine shut like he’d been caught doing something illegal. “K-Kacchan!” he stammered, wide-eyed. “I-I didn’t hear you come in!”
Katsuki’s eyes flicked from the magazine to Izuku’s face, taking in the embarrassed blush. His eyes lingered on the box of tissues now sitting conspicuously on the bed instead of its usual place on the bedside table. So, that’s what you’ve been doing while I was out busting my ass, pervert.
He prowled forward, the teasing grin back in place. “Didn’t hear me, huh? Too busy gawking at my photos like a perverted little fanboy?”
Katsuki has been doing a little modelling on the side to help pay for Izuku's pro-hero suit... but Izuku's overthinking it.
