you decide, arbitrarily, to go visit your friend, and it just so happens to be the last time you'll ever get to see him? the stats for that must by tiny. maybe you'd like to imagine there was some pull, some otherwordly feeling in your mind telling you now, now, go now! but... there wasn't. it's entirely possible you just would've woken up the next morning and your best friend would have left forever.

He didn’t want to be alone again, Ashe was just starting to get used to the joy of having friends. It was a slow process, but he was starting to understand what it meant to have the company of others.

Chip pulled back the curtain, dragging Gillion into the square by the hand. Gillion looked nervous, his eyebrows furrowed and his face contorted into a slight grimace.
“I—” Gillion pulled his hand away from Chip, his ears drooped, pinning back against his head, “I wouldn’t want to intrude on what is going on here. This is not at all involving me.”
