    Gerard was, astonishingly, at a loss for what to say to that. It had been a while since they’d seen normal people, sure, but, could it be possible that they were the only ones left? Perhaps in the world? Everything had gone to shit so quickly-- it didn’t feel like the end times had come upon them a mere 13 days ago, it felt like they’d been living this way for much longer than that. Despair had a way of warping time like that, he noticed, even before the world had ended.
