Summary
Omegas are society's most revered beings. Smart and capable, they bring life and spend their days as productive members of society.
Alphas, on the other hand, are nothing more than animals. Strong, they may very well be, but they are far from intelligent, and the only thing knotheads are capable of is following their instincts right off of a cliff.
In this day and age, Alphas would be completely useless if not for their primary function: to help Omegas through their heats. Evolution is a cruel mistress, and only the knot of an Alpha can tame the flush of wantneednowpleasepleaseplease that brings even the strongest of Omegas to their knees.
However, despite the closeness all Omegas share with their Alphas, there is a vast difference between satisfying an instinctual urge to breed and mating for life with something that—despite the human-like appearance—is nothing more than a glorified beast.
Five-year-old Jared is excited to begin his life as an Omega. But it isn't until after he meets his very first Alpha, Jensen, that he discovers just what it means to be an Omega and how far they're are willing to go to keep from ever being subservient to the Alpha race again.
