And, while he runs downstream, chasing a black bag that had been thrown in a river, he knows one thing for certain:
He wants to do good.
AU where Dazai finds and adopts an 8 year old Atsushi! With a bit of gruesome symbolism, and a slowburn between You Know Who (“Dazai, when the FUCK did you have a child?!?” “-Oh, I simply spawned him in! A slug like you might know something like that~”), comfort and gentle growth can bloom. Not without complications, of course, but… they’re learning how to love, no matter how twisted or painful it might be.
