The question is asked by a woman with blonde hair and burning brown eyes who had definitely not been standing in the doorway a moment ago. The only reason Steve doesn’t attack her on principle for appearing out of nowhere when the last Avengers standing are already on edge is because the uniform she’s wearing looks an awful lot like the color scheme and symbol that had been glowing on Fury’s pager before it shut off.

FBI Special Agent Brad "Iceman" Colbert is very good at his job. Catching bad guys with his partner Ray Person is what he does, and over the years he's become notorious for his ability to hunt down the most brutal killers. But even the Iceman has skeletons in his closet.
The worst skeleton--the only one that keeps Brad up at night--is Nate Fick, a serial killer Brad apprehended years ago. Fick's case was always messy, not least because he and Brad were in a relationship at the time he was arrested. When circumstances force them to work together, Brad becomes suspicious that Fick is hiding something, and events slowly start to spiral out of his control.

Cas stretches out in the backseat while Dean takes up the front, and Dean’s pretty devoted to gritting his teeth until he can catch an hour or two of sleep, but sleep won’t take, and it just doesn’t take long at all for him to start shivering despite the layers.
After maybe half an hour of shivering, he hears rustling behind him, picks himself up by the elbows to peer over the back of the front bench, and sees Cas shedding clothes.
“... what are you doing?”
“I am preparing to share body heat with you,” Cas answers flatly, already out of his coat and jacket, unbuttoning his collared shirt and shrugging it off; his shoulders and arms look immense in the thin undershirt beneath.

“I won’t laugh.” Bucky straightens out both his back and his expression and scoots closer, knee colliding with Sam’s own. He keeps it there; it feels hot and solid, even through the kevlar. “C’mon, I promise. Just tell me.”
Sam turns it over in his head for a long moment. Swallows hard. Rubs his palms across his thighs.
“Okay,” he says, looking away. “Do you believe in ghosts, man?”
Bucky laughs, the asshole.
Sam has been haunted all his life. This is the first time he's ever thought of telling anyone about it.
