Summary
They say that what goes up must come down, but would Bob rather the imposing presence of a cloud or the blur of the fog? And would he prefer to be presented with a less vague and obfuscating line of questioning? Probably. Either way, he's going to have to deal with John Walker, a man he has grown to perceive in quite the different light in the wake of an odd interaction. Maybe things might start to make more sense if he chooses to address the way every nerve in his body goes into a frenzy at the sight of him. Or maybe he can keep ignoring the thunderstorm that has settled into his veins. We'll see.
Note: Make sure to read Dangling first, otherwise the way I depict Bob will seem incredibly nonsensical, and even then it still might ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Summary
Walker has always been good at adapting, he had to be, given the life he's led. Change was nothing new to him, whether it shaped his path or his body. Taking the serum hadn't been easy; the liquid had burned as it spread through him, rewriting every cell. But nothing in his past could have prepared him for this. None of it could make what was happening now any easier. Because this time, he was changing, and unlike last time, he had no idea what waited on the other side.

John gets heavily injured by a feral creature on a stakeout mission, leaving him infected with... something.

Oh fuck.
It’s dripping blood onto the floor.
‘Shit,’ Steve says, takes a single step back, swallows. ‘Eddie, I’m so sorry, fuck.’
Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
It's more than a little fucked up how that thrills him.
