Yasmin Khan is a police officer with a great life. She loves her job, she's best mates with her partner Dan, and even has a boyfriend, O. However, tensions begin to raise between Yaz and O and she finds herself escaping to a bar after work most days where she's captivated by the mysterious blonde bartender.
Between her rocky relationship and developing feelings for her new blonde 'friend', Yaz is starting to think it's time to make some changes in her life. But O is one step ahead of her and things take a dramatic turn for the worse when she learns he's involved in a crime.

"Yaz had been having these thoughts more and more since Ryan and Graham left. Sometimes they’d pop up out of nowhere, even when they were running from herds of flaming goats. Sometimes they came more naturally, like when Yaz woke up and saw the Doctor actually sleeping beside her, snoring loudly, sonic still in hand, goggles on her forehead, book on her chest, and a bit of drool in the corner of her mouth. But they kept coming back."
Basically, this is Thasmin healing and comfort, and if I've done my job right, will make people cry in a good way.

"I've held information from you, Yas, and I'm sorry" The Doctor was looking away from her, it took all of Yas's strength to not reach out and gently turn Her face so that She was looking at Yas directly. Yasmin shook her head ignoring that urge.
"I want to tell you about what I've been through" The Doctor suddenly was facing Yasmin, they were inches apart and she was just now noticing this, deep down it made her nervous and giddy but above all of that it was like standing next to a sun. bright enough to blind you and hot enough that you start melting, and Yas was melting fast.
"I'd love that" was all she could say. she couldn't stop thinking about the curvature of Her lips the sharpness of Her hair and how she wanted to put her hands through it, when Dan walked in, The Doctor moved back an inch or two and Yas stayed where she was. "hey, I may have forgotten what you said back there Doc. was it three doors or four?" 'for Christ's sake,' Yas thought. -

The garbled transmission spoke of a large cube-like vessel that had entered the system and destroyed the small number of colony defense ships. The last transmission before all contact was lost showed a massive, black monolithic shape slowly descending over the colony.
Although not widely known outside the upper echelons of Starfleet Command, this was the Borg: a powerful race of cybernetic lifeforms, first encountered a year prior by the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701D, c. J-L Picard) over 7,000 light-years away.
