“Mafuyu, why don’t you get out now? Surely it’s too cold,” Kanade would say sweetly, and no one would reply.
… Or; Mafuyu commits suicide, and Kanade cannot process it properly.

Xiao hasn't seen Venti in 500 years. he's dedicated everything to make Venti happy in the hopes that he'll see him again. He keeps Mondstadt safe and independent, just like he did. He becomes the Anemo Archon just like he did. The god of dreams, Alatus.
Disaster strikes when Stormterror attacks Mondstadt, commanded by Barbatos himself. Except... is it really Venti behind all this?
