Summary
Black rain pouring and battering the windshield, sky the shade of gray above her. She doesn’t know how long she’s been sitting in the car. Not like it matters, not anymore.
“I tried,” So Mi chokes, staring blankly ahead. “I really did. But I just…” she shakes her head slightly, blinks, a glimpse of tears and sorrow in her eyes, “I can’t go on without you.”
She pauses. Her lips part in depressing truth. “I can’t forgive myself for what I’ve done.”
There’s a moment of silence first, followed by a faint shuffle. A half breath then. “I know,” Song hears back.
Stuck on the Moon, So Mi gets a voicemail. The voice is V’s; she’s desperately asking for help. Her help. Unable to escape her guilt, Song settles on finding her, whatever it takes.
Only problem is that tracing the voicemail’s origin leads her back to the Blackwall.

Summary
"I'm sorry, So Mi, but the FIA - they'll help if and only if I bring you in alive. That's the deal."
She refused her request. She sent her to a fate worse than death. She chose herself. An egotist, drowned in guilt and remorse. A shell of her former self with no friends and cyberware. A betrayer to her, to Johnny, and, most importantly, to herself. She became the King of Pentacles.
But even in the darkest hour, a ray of hope shines upon her. What if she can fix her mistake? What if she can actually save her? What if it's not too late to give her a second chance that she never really got?
She'll do everything she can. Because her conscience and remorse will catch up to her otherwise.

"Could've told me the truth. Woulda helped you anyway."
What if she did tell the truth from the start?
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty rewritten around the best line (in my opinion) in the expansion. An alternate take on the story, deriving post-"Chippin' In" quest.
Would telling the truth change the final outcome? Would it bring the long-awaited happy ending? Or will it bring eventual downfall for both of them?
If only life in a dystopian world like Night City was that simple...
