Summary
In the years after the death of Aerith Gainsborough, Shinra Electric Power Company has taken their thirst for power beyond the fabric of one world. With new technology to rip into alternate dimensions, Cloud and his crew are in a race to beat Shinra to every universe to protect them from bleeding every world dry of their mako and enslaving the surviving versions of Aerith to locate the source.
But Cloud has his own agenda. One the planets seem to protest against.
Keep the woman he loves alive, and tear through every world until he can finally save her.
Six worlds.
Eight hundred and seventy eight days.
Solar flares. Sunsets. Endless horizons.
I’ve seen geomagnetic storms illuminate the endless sky in ultraviolet and golden waves and watched stars explode, knowing it happened long before the light traveled its way to the Chrysalis, and it was only an echo of the past moving through space and time.
Still, despite the great many wonders journeying through the skies and breaking through the inter-dimensional barriers to alternate worlds, nothing has ever surpassed the beauty of a pale pink ribbon tied into ash brown hair.

Summary
When Aerith Gainsborough's floral refrigerator goes out just days before her ex-fiancé's wedding to the woman of his dreams, she's desperate to salvage the gig, her reputation, and her pride. Cloud Strife goes above and beyond to make things right for the beautiful florist, even if she's oblivious to the fact that he's had a crush on her for over a decade.
It’s embarrassing to admit that I still haven’t been with another man, even though Zack and I have been broken up for six months. Six months isn’t that long after a broken engagement to feel unsure about re-entering the dating pool. And he was my first… everything. You don’t just get over something like that or feel ready to open yourself up to someone new overnight.
Though it was plenty of time for Zack to realize his heart had always been with someone else, and that he wanted to marry her instead. With the shortest engagement possible. The exact opposite of how he was with me. He wanted us to enjoy being fiancés, and not rush the process, and kept putting off setting a date.
At least now I know why.
All thoughts of my ex-fiancé evaporate when I stroll back into my shop and see Cloud.
