Summary
Just off the Interpelagic Highway, 500 km from Revachol West, 50 km from the edge of the Pale, stands the forgotten revolutionary outpost of Ifrania-du-roi, now nothing more than a tiny fishing village.
Here, two strangers from the RCM find themselves: Disgraced Lt. 2/Y Harry Du Bois, suspended from duty after a disastrous investigation ended in massive bloodshed, and decorated Lt. Kim Kitsuragi, placed on leave after an event he refuses to discuss. But when a dead body turns up on the beach with an unidentifiable injury, and suspicion falls on Harry, the vacation comes to an unceremonious end.
Casefic, canon-universe but timeline divergent. Aftermath of Martinaise without Kim.

Summary
You shake your head to drown out the voices and immediately regret it. Harry’s whimpers and labored breathing suddenly sound far away, as if under the icy waters of the Insulindic. Your vision starts to go black. You’re passing out.
Nononono. God no. God no. Stay awake. Stay awake for him.
--Kim grapples with his injuries, unresolved trauma, and some revelatory feelings while patching Harry up in the wake of the mercenary tribunal.
