Summary
"Philip's mindset was flawed even in his awakening, however. He still had distrust in the back of his mind."
When left vulnerable and alone, even the strongest can collapse. Philip, on the other hand, is very well aware that he does not qualify for that title. Time and time again, he chose to flee, abandoning those he cared for and leaving them to die, despite his best efforts. And yet, all the same, he carried with him the remnants of their trust.
Just once, he wants to live up to that trust, to be worthy of all the things he had been given. Desperately, he wants to grow.
When his pain and despair are at their peak, and when the voice only he could hear was at her loudest, Philip chooses to open his eyes and uncover his ears.
So long as he can stand up straight, he can change even the smallest of things- even if he burns himself to ash in the process.

Summary
Jia Yihua finds he's not quite right. Infact, he's not Yihua at all! Some poor sod's been shoved into the body of this extra-side character like some trashy webtoon, and now it's up to him and some poor circumstances to 'Fix Hongyuan'. Sounds easy, right? Well unfortunately, the shitty family that is the Jia Clan and its branches end up effecting him more than he first thought, for better and worse.

That night, Cassie dreamt of drowning, of being pulled by the waves, and finally, her last breath being taken.
And this time, there was no saviour, no salvation for her broken soul.
At least... this would have been her fate— if he hadn't been there.
