He’s looking at the pantsuit-woman, with his hands hanging loose against his sides like he hasn’t got a thing to hide. Yelena had seen him only hours earlier in the vivid coloring of an East Coast sunset, getting shot at by multiple field agents with a diverse variety of arms and numerous rounds of ammunition. He’d refused to standby while they sent in an extraction team - humans he said the minute they stepped into the tower.

He looked how she felt. He looked like a man who had scraped the nails off his fingers and his fingers to the bone in trying to move an immovable wall. And when he said that she was the same as the rest of them, that she had to die just like the rest of them, Maeve told him the truth.
She considers lying to Homelander when he finds her. She considers telling him that she loved him in her own way too, considers kissing him one last time, considers telling him that she was never stupid enough to think she could change him, but she was stupid enough to think he wasn’t that bad. In the end, when he asks her if she ever loved him, Maeve tells him the truth too.

Here’s the real problem with betraying someone who you for once didn’t want to betray: it leaves a strange aftertaste in the back of your mouth.
But right now, he doesn’t need to be thinking about Mobius, and his jet ski fetish, and the way he’s been casually putting his hand against Loki’s lower back, a few seconds of contact brushed off as guidance through a doorway. Loki doesn’t need this right now, or ever.or, before & after 1x02 of (mostly) canon moments and a deeper look at Loki's emotions about Mobius.

The only difference is that his endeavors are for others, and hers are solely for him. The unfairness of it has become stifling. Pam lets herself believe that maybe someday Eric will learn better, that the ones he puts himself in harm’s way for will never repay the same loyalty to him. She hopes that perhaps she can learn the same.
