Summary
After nearly drowning while surfing, nineteen year old Luis is saved by a red-haired lifeguard he never gets the chance to thank. Determined to find the girl who pulled him from the ocean, he spends his first days back in the beach town he left as a kid searching the boardwalk, reconnecting with old friends, and slowly crossing paths with the guarded lifeguard who can't quite bring herself to trust him. As summer unfolds, surf sessions, skate parks, birthday celebrations, and late nights with friends turn a chance rescue into something deeper, forcing both of them to confront the loneliness they've been carrying and decide whether they're finally ready to let someone in.
