Summary
the cat-in-the-hat, now 40, is preparing for a premature, but boring, death. hes had it with adventure, babysitting (although he still talks to nick and sally, who are now away in their freshman year of college), and most of all, hes had it with love.
He gave up on THAT one a long time ago.
But when his former babysitter agency calls him back to work with his old rival, sparks start to fly.

Summary
Westburg Space Prep is what you would expect from an astronaut training school: anti-gravity pads, mission control training, satellite navigation, you know the drill. But when self-proclaimed notorious school detective Owen Gnat decides to go wandering one day to a locked door underneath the school, he finds a secret message from aliens.
Now, Owen is out for answers for both him and his classmates. As the stakes get higher throughout the year, Owen is close to cracking under the pressure. Will he be able to call “case closed?” Or will he spend the rest of his year in detention?

Stanley jumps, stumbling to grab his cigarette before it falls into the slushy grass. The lit end hits his finger, and while he doesn't have too many nerves there anymore, it still smarts, and he lets out a curse as he sees the red mark form.
Fiddleford watches with a mix of exasperation and amusement, closing the door behind him as a gust of wind rushes by. “Sorry t’ startle ya.”
“Eh.” Stan leans his back on the railing, sticking the cig in his mouth to leave it there. “Was lost in my thoughts anyhow. No harm done.”

Summary
Launchpad's crashed again, naturally, but this time he's gotten injured to the point of memory loss. Among other things, it means he doesn't realize he has a family until he's told.
He doesn't recall anything in the most recent years of his life, but his apparent partner seems to be nice enough and seems to like Darkwing Duck, so that's a plus. Little bits of memory are starting to come back, though, and it's causing a good deal of confusion.
