Summary
TK loved these outings with the team. He loved it since the first time they all went to the honky tonk together after one of the first shifts the 126 ever did after the restoration. It was even better now that they were so close they were family and spending time together was as easy as breathing. It certainly helps having an incredible husband to dance with now, too.
TK feels like he barely ever sees him anymore. He comes home late, he leaves early, barely drops by at the firehouse to visit. They don’t talk, they don’t go on dates, there is little to no affection given. The distance is growing by the day and he can’t stand it.
But he promised he’d be here tonight. And TK will latch on to the little time they get to spend together like a starved man.

Or Carlos is becoming distant due to throwing himself into his work and TK misses his husband. Carlos is scared his new colleagues are homophobic and keeps his marriage a secret. Hurt husband and overprotective family occurs.
Or 7 times someone else has asked TK to dance and 1 time Carlos finally did

Summary
Carlos has been teaching Kindergarten for a few years now, but when the older brother of one of his students comes into his classroom for career day to talk about being a firefighter, Carlos finds it difficult to keep the lines between professional and personal clear. Maybe if TK weren't so gorgeous, or flirtatious, or confident, it would be easier for Carlos to ignore him. Then again, maybe if Mr. Reyes weren't so handsome, kind, and caring, TK would be able to get Carlos out of his head.
(TK is still a firefighter and the timing is a little different. TK and Owen have been in Austin longer, TK's little brother is 5 and lives in Austin with Gwyn, Owen, and TK. Carlos is a teacher and not a cop, pretty much everything else follows canon.)
